## Ertle Investments: search funds and ETA

Ertle is an investor in entrepreneurship through acquisition. We back traditional and self-funded searchers, and we consider equity gap financing where senior debt and seller financing do not cover the purchase price.

- Traditional search funds. We take search capital units and join the investor group for the acquisition. (Search capital, Pro-rata right at acquisition, Board participation)
- Self-funded searchers. Equity for self-funded searchers with a target under LOI. (Equity at acquisition, Co-investment with other investors, Input on structuring and diligence)
- Equity gap financing. We also consider acquisitions where senior debt and seller financing fall short of the purchase price. (Equity to complete the capital stack, Alongside banks, seller notes and other investors, ETA, MBI and MBO transactions)
- What we look for. The usual search fund profile. (Established, profitable SMEs, Recurring, predictable cash flow, Founder succession)
